Salamander Adventure

 In the spring, on a warm, wet evening salamanders at Indian Creek begin to move. It happens sometime between the last week of January and the end of March. Watch migrating salamanders and learn more about this species.

Owl Hoot

 Meet park staff and volunteers for an introduction to nocturnal animals and their adaptations. Followed by an EASY night hike to search for and call to owls in the winter woods. The night hike will be filled with activities along the way.

Woodcock Wooing

Enjoy the sights and sounds of the mating display of the American Woodcock during this crepuscular (early evening) hike. Learn about the mysterious life style of this shorebird and its many names such as timberdoodle and bogsucker.
